at the National Stud of Sait Lô. He has 14 approved stallion sons
and is a noted sire of broodmares.
A quote from the Horse International of the Top Ten Jumping
Sires 2000/2001 says of Galoubet (3rd.place) "strong performances
by both the sire and the progeny are clearly a constant feature in the
Alme-Galoubet-Baloubet line, which looks promising for Baloubet's future
career".
Progeny
Despite his youth, Baloubets success as a sire has been reflected
in his 1999 rankings; 3rd in the Equvalan World Breeding Rankings and
23rd in the World Breeding Championship Rankings. His semen has been sold
to a number of top UK breeders and riders, the results have been excellent.
Baloubet produces big, strong, athletic stock who inherit
their sires unique bold outlook to life. His five year old son Gatsby
Vandrin was the sale topper at the 1999 NASH auction (sold for $160,000).
Other progeny have been sold for equally impressive sums.
