Currently the stud has one warm blood stallion standing at stud:
Zig-Zag is a 16.2hh bay Dutch Warmblood by prolific show jumping stallion Concorde out of Namira De Haar. This very talented and beautiful stallion has already proven himself to have exceptional scope and ability, coming reserve champion at the 2007 Futurity at his first outing and scoring 9’s and above. He was also one of only three out of twenty-six stallions to gain a licence at the Anglo European Stud Book grading in 2007. He has a wonderful temperament, is regularly ridden and schooled and is showing considerable talent over jumps. He is a most gentle and kind horse with impeccable manners. This young stallion is already proving popular and we have very high hopes for his progeny, the first of which being born in 2008.
Sadly we lost our second stallion, our beloved Zabantos to colic in July 2011. He was also a16.2hh bay Dutch Warmblood. Zabantos was by Babouche VH Gehucht Z whose sire was Baloubet du Rouet ridden in the Olympics by Rodrigo Pessoa. He caught our eye as a 3-year old when we saw him in Holland. He had a superb gymnastic ability and made a beautiful shape over a fence. He was bred to jump and as you watched him work you could easily see that it was what he loved to do - he just jumped whatever you put in front of him. Zabantos was also very kind, generous and easy to handle. He has passed his enthusiasm for life and his excellent character onto his offspring.
James and Michelle hope that Zig Zag will be competing on the BSJA show jumping circuit in the coming year.
